You must go to each project that have the name "gregggg" and change it to "Greg"

Leprichon,

I have found that it is best to join new projects from the boincstats "Sign-up for projects" link located on the My BAM menu to the left of the screen. After you click on create account next to the project you want to join, log into that projects main site and change your personal options to align your country / website / zip code / profile etc... Then after a day or two your cross projects should align here on boincstats a And your search for ET and the cure fure cancer can continue

When you log into the individual project site it should use the same email address and password you use on boincstats when you signed up here

In the continuing saga (of combining and adjusting my username)... I seem to have f'd up my stats somehow...How do I get them back?? (Im guessing it may have somthing to do with my CPID, but Im not sure how...it is the same for both this site and my team site "boink synergy&quot...

Make everything identical, on *every* project. Give it 2-3 days. Then all will be good.

OK zombie67 I guess ill just give it more time then...your stats are VERY impressive. You must be an administrator with a fairly advanced company to have that many quality machines crunching for you!!...if ET's out there your going to find em for us!!!

when I go to BOINC 'tools' and 'synchronize with boinkstats BAM(the only option thats available?)', I get the error "user not found"...????...BAM has my info right (when i go directly there -with ie - I can get right in -Leprichon pettitg23@gmail.com)...so Im guessing the problem is that BOINC isnt communicating right with BAM...how do I fix? BOINC doesnt seem to even have my email address on file...

Your BAM userID is not "user@address.domain", it is "user". Same thing for BOINCstats ID too, I think.

just to clarify...I can 'log in' to BAM and BOINCstats...It is BOINC (the program on my machine) that gives me the error "user not found" (when I go to 'tools' and then sychronize with BOINCstats)...I have tried to uinstall and then reload and re-install the BOINC software, with no effect...

Go to "Advanced" and "Detach from BAM", then go to Tools and attach to BAM again.

BAM has nothing to do with your credits, so I really doubt you lost credits doing that.

You didn't loose any (credit, start date, etc.) What you lost where the stats.xml files for the projects most likely. The credits are still there in each project but boinc won't reflect them. They will start anew from the moment you re-attached to bam.

ok pyro3k...Is there anyway to get thoes "stats.xml" files back into BAM?...In relation to this - I was hoping to have someone explain one of the graphs on the BAM 'statistics' page. My question is - What is negative credit and how did I go about having such?

These are generated locally on your system roughly at GMT. Unless you had a backup of them somewhere it would be difficult to get tehm back unless you wanted to manually edit the files and gestimate your daily contribution.

ok then Ill consider getting them back a loss then...maybe someone out there could answer me this - When I go to 'BOINCstats' 'Host list' (on the left menue), I can see both hosts that I am conected to. However, when I go to 'My detailed stats' (in the same menu) I only see one computer listed there. (Im pretty sure that I used to see both hosts that I have connected there). Im curiouse if this is correct and if not why??

Ok first thing I have noticed is that your nick here on Boincstats is Leprichon... While Chess960 is Greg, P@H is Greg, Prime Grid is Greg, Simap is Greg, and the rest are Leprichon.

For your CPID to work correctly your email, nickname, country to all be the same on EVERY PROJECT and on Boincstats.

Once you get everything either changed to Lepricon or Greg and make sure the email address and country are the same on each project then in a day or two after BAM does it's once a day big update (may take two days) you should have everything here in boincstats

Not exactly. For the CPID to work correctly, you only need your email to match. If the nickname is different, that will just make your name show as "name1 / name2 / name3". If the country is different, you will show as "International". But you will *still* be shown as a single account on the combined stats.

Woops... Sorry POV you are correct. I just have always found that for me best practice is to keep everything identical a

Agreed. Make *everything* identical. Get the CPID fixed. *Then* try messing around with making some things different, if you want.

OK, having a similiar problem.

Got a new computer system and have joined a lot of new projects. All of my old stats joined the newer projects with the same CPID except for Hash Clash.

Everying should be the same for all projects.
User name, email address, and country.
And still after a month Hash Clash has yet to link up with the rest.

Now some of the older projects came into sync after I had crunched a work unit on the new machine for that project. However, as Hash Clash is no longer producing work I can't use that as a solution.

Any suggestions?

So you can't update the CPID of 'Hash Clash', the only thing I could think of is update the CPID of the other projects to the 'Hash Clash' CPID.
But then all your historical stats are lost , because you have a different CPID.

Go here, and try your luck , but only for real dead projects.
On projects, that live still, just don't have work, like HashClash, a simple (or, to be sure, double) contact should be sufficient, there is no need to actually crunch something to get the CPID in line.

That's in German Here's the English version (I think it's a bad idea to have the language on the domain name...)

By the way, shouldn't Willy move HashClash to retired projects?

pyro, I did what you suggested (made sure all projects contain the same info) though the project I was curious about (and seem to have lost stats for) is CPDN...The other post question I had (if anyone can help - as seen below) was - When I go to 'BOINCstats' 'Host list' (on the left menu), I can see both hosts that I am conected to. However, when I go to 'My detailed stats' (in the same menu) I only see one computer listed there. (Im pretty sure that I used to see both hosts that I have connected there).
