And now we tune into today's episode of "Dumb Question Theatre"....
In today's episode, our protagonist, Mike, is trying to update his Einstein engine to the beta build for testing. Mike has done this several times in the past for different projects on different platforms.
Today, however, Mike can't find the work files.
At all.
Mike searches for "app_info.xml", "app_info", and "einstein" from the root of his boot drive and finds *nothing*. Mike is using an administrative account, and explorer is set to show hidden files and *not* hide system files. Mike searches through the program directory, \Program Files\Common Files\, and the BOINC account's profile folders.
Mike is confused. Mike is lost. Mike's world begins to collapse around him. There is much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Cue the dramatic music as Mike wonders if anyone will come to his aid.

OK,yeah, so I had a bit much coffee this morning. ;-)
So, where are the files?
It disturbs me a bit that a search cannot find them with an admin account. If they are hidden that well, then I have to wonder if my malware scanners (Norton AV and such) will be able to see them. If they cannot, then that is a serious issue, and could persuade me to switch entirely to Folding. Please know I'm not trying to be belligerent. I've been BOINC'ing for years on many platforms. I simply would have issues if I can't run an antivirus scan against what BOINC downloads.
So, can anyone say where the work / program engine files are located in the new version?
Thank you very much.
