When I assumed foundership of "UAE Residents" I made the team Boincwide.
My members are telling me that they are unable to join the team on any project except SETI.
I tried to re-create UAE Res' as a boincwide team and I can't.

Are they using BAM! to join? Did you create the team at every existing project or just at the BOINCwide team page?

BOINC wide teams don't really work BOINC wide.
They have to be imported by the projects, and on a regular basis to get them up to date. Only e few do this, Seti is one of them.

A lot of the old, settled, projects don't use it.

OK. I created the team Boincwide from the S@H Team Admin's page.
Do I need to go to every project that we are crunching and personally join that project in order to set up the Team for that project?

Two answers:

1. If you don't use BAM!: yes
   
2. If you use BAM!, simply use BAM! to join all projects, then use BAM! to create the team at every project you just joined
   

I can hint you what's the easiest way, but I think you can figure that out yourself
