I take updates to Hardy. BOINC, or at least, the manager, quit working all of a sudden; they used to work fine for me. I complain about this on a forum for Ubuntu -- link

Just reinstall BONC and it should work again, you may have to un-install it first (Leave the Directory when asked if you want to remove it) and then re-install it again. You can do all that through the Synaptic Package Manager if thats how you installed it in the first place or download a new Client for your particular application and install that way if thats how you installed BOINC the first time ...
