Thank you Dr. Who Fan. I took your advice and removed the project from my BOINC clients.

Hej Willy,
On reflection, 15 days is perhaps a little too early if Goofy has forgotten to renew his URL. Previous lapses have taken longer for him to resolve - but they have been resolved
I don't know how long a URL is quarantined before it is released again - is that relevant ?

But it appears the website hosting service has suspended the website domain for some reason about 15 days ago. There was a notice that appeared from the hosting svc for the website owner to contact them around the same time it went missing if you tried to load the website.

Maybe we can wait until the end of this month to reach the project servers again, but I don't think it'll be around then either.

The web site is still SUSPENDED and a notice for the site owner to contact the hosting provider

Here is a link to the screen grab showing such.

Will wait until the end of month to request it be pulled from the active stats site(s) if it does not reappear, which is doubtful at this time.

I thought it would be both entertaining and informative to chart the ups and downs of the GoofyXgrid NCI project. I did this by reading through this thread, looking at when people commented on the project being up and down. I also made note of the first time anyone called for Willy to declare the project dead, and how long it took for the project to be down before that started.

This thread starts with the project returning from a long outage on January 17th, 2019. If I remember correctly, it was down for at least a month before that, but I think it was actually several months. So there was a very long outage that immediately precedes this log.

Total down time since January 17th, 2019: 235 days
Total up time since January 17th, 2019: 374 days

I think we can all agree this is an atrocious track record, by any standard.

The longest continuous period that the project has been up was 129 days, and the second longest was 98 days.

The longest period that it was down was 51 days, and the second longest was 47 days.

We're currently on day 45 of this outage, which makes this the third longest outage since this thread was started.

Days since an outage started after which someone asked Willy to mark the project dead:

20 days
33 days
6 days
0 days

I think it's safe to say people are losing patience.

In case anyone is interested, here's the raw data I collected from this thread:

1/17/19 Dead
1/23/19 Alive (down 4 days)

up 10 days

2/2/19 Dead
2/22/19 Is it dead yet? (20 days)
3/25/19 Alive (down 51 days)

up 4 days

3/29/19 problems
4/16/19 normal (unstable 18 days)

up 31 days

5/16/19 dowm
6/17/19 is it dead yet? (33 days)
7/2/19 alive down 47 days)

up 10 days

7/22/19 down
8/2/19 up (down 11 days)

up 98 days

11/8/19 down
11/14/19 is it dead yet? (6 days)
11/28/19 up (down 20 days)

up 5 days

12/3/19 down
12/9/19 up (down 6 days)

up 12 days

12/21/19 down
12/29/19 up (down 8 days)

up 10 days

1/8/20 down
1/11/20 up (down 3 days)

up 20 days

1/31/20 down
2/5/20 up (down 5 days)

up 9 days

2/14/20 down
2/19/20 up (down 5 days)

up 129 days

6/27/20 down
6/27/20 is it dead yet? (0 days)
7/23/20 up (down 26 days)

up 36 days

8/28/20 down
8/30/20 is it dead yet? (2 days)

down 45 days and counting...

Hi FYI

I followed Goofyx's personal blog which ends at 9 january 2018, having weird dababases issues and trying hard to solve.

His last post on Boinc@Poland forum, dated 5 april 2018, asking for help about really bad issues.

On 4 july 2019, tito (Boinc@Poland forum) posts "Goofyx is back, but no com from admin".

However, restarting my boinc activity for the incoming winter and cooler temps I got an nci task ending at 30 august 2020 and trying to validate since.

Might be not related, Boinc@Poland are having currently databases problems, notably if you try their wiki.
