They have moved from Münster to Ulm, and got a new dedicated URL: http://qmcathome.org/index.html
Accounts and passwords have moved with them, so no new account necessary for veterans.

Server Status is up, it's delivering WUs, but the Stats-XML page is still empty.

Excellent, works fine. It grabbed all 11 cores free on start up - I didn't want all used - now back under control, many thanks

A few days ago I sent Martin Korth (Project Scientist / Administrator) an email with several observations and questions about the web site and project/tasks::

1) There is no forums at the web site as of yet. How soon will the forums return so we can post questions, problems, etc we have encountered with the software?
2) The cleanmobility.now 605 "test" tasks appear to be exceptionally long running. I have it running on 3 of my PC's and after 14+ hours one has make it to 2% completed, and the other two have restarted several times and going back to 0% completed. At this rate it will take around 700 hours to complete, which will be way past the deadline due dates. Will tasks speed up / get faster as they progress thru the compute to 100% completion?
3) The cleanmobility.now 605 "test" tasks checkpointing is way too long. It seems to checkpoint only at 1% intervals, therefore you have wasted many hours of CPU time when they restart from the last checkpoint (if any). Will future versions have checkpointing enabled more often than 1% intervals?

and received the following reply:

thanks a lot for supporting our research already at this early stage - your feedback is very much appreciated!
1) The forum will be going online with the offical project release in September.
2) The progress reporting of the app is not very good yet, average rutimes are about 1 day.
3) We work on improving the checkpointing and aim at much shorter interval times.
Best wishes & thanks again,
Martin

With regard to run time for the cleanmobility.now tasks... I've completed four so far, with the following results:

1090t (3.2GHz) Win7-64 47.9 hrs

1090t (3.2GHz) Win7-64 36.7 hrs

FX8150 (3.6GHz) Ubuntu 12.04 40.9 hrs

Q6600 (2.4GHz) Win7-64 24.8 hrs

I'm waiting for results from 3 other Intel-Win7 hosts to see if their completion times are significantly shorter than my AMD hosts.

After 66 cpu hours (elapsed 70 hours) running on a Vista64 AMD 9350e @ 2.0 GHz the progress is 12%.
The checkpoints are regular 2% progress every 11 cpu-hours.
But with still 10 days to the deadline it will not make it on time.
So I switched the task to an i7 2600 Win7-64 @ 3.4 GHz to increase the progress.

They don't necessarily run until 100%, my first finished at about 20-22% and got validated.
The progress determination doesn't seem to be quite honed yet, but it checkpoints from time to time and pretends to have 2% progress between two of them.

24% done now after 94 cpu-hours, but there still is hope. Maximum runtime out of last 100 tasks on the QMC-server: 117h36m

I have one running on an i7-3520M (2.9GHz) that's approaching 99 hours (@ 42% complete) -- more than twice as long as any of my other tasks. It's my only host that's running a 32-bit OS. I wonder if that makes any difference...

Anyone else having trouble reporting results to QMC? I have a WU stuck in status "Ready to Report" since yesterday. It comes up with the following:

08/10/2013 11:15:16 | QMC@HOME | update requested by user
08/10/2013 11:15:19 | QMC@HOME | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
08/10/2013 11:15:19 | QMC@HOME | Reporting 1 completed tasks
08/10/2013 11:15:19 | QMC@HOME | Not requesting tasks: don't need
08/10/2013 11:15:21 | QMC@HOME | Scheduler request completed
08/10/2013 11:15:21 | QMC@HOME | Server error: feeder not running

My machine is running Windows 7 64 bit and I am using Boinc version 7.0.64.

I am reporting it here because there are still no QMC forums.

Server_status.php is up and running, and it says exactly the same since several days.
db_purge, feeder, transitioner, file_deleter, validator_cmn and assimilator_cmn are not running, scheduler, db-server and web-pages do.

Yes, it's a pity that the message boards are not running yet, there could be a much better feedback, but...everybody knew it's this way now, that's the good luck of alpha testers

I just received an email from Martin Korth, and he wrote that in December there will be a new Ph.D. student for QMC, and the official relaunch will be around that time.
Now it's all just some testing, he's grateful for that, but doesn't have the time to care properly about the missing things, like forum, stats, teams etc.
