after replacing HD I re added a host can i merge them or will they merge or do i need to delete the original

There is now way of merging hosts. But you can always delete the older host

What happens to your credit if you delete a host? Do you lose that credit? This would be especially troubling since the majority of credits would most likely be attached to the older host and not the newer one.

Your credits aren't summed up from your hosts each time you ask for them. When you are granted credits, they are added to your user, host, and team. Deleting hosts won't make you lose credits on your user.

Why do you need to merge them? BAM host entries don't store credits or anything, it's just the list of projects you're attached to...

It is only of minor concern but some projects dont merge hosts or send out new stats making host harder to follow
