Hi,

First of all let me say I am not new to Boinc projects but I am new to using BAM.

I am changing country so I amended the country in the account page and this was ok.

I also saw the team name in the account page was empty.

My purpose with all below was to get the correct team name displayed in the account page.


When I went to edit the team name there were no projects listed.

I understood I needed to add projects so I added what I could from my existing projects using the sign-up for projects function.

(World Community Grid says no account - this is not true - I have 100K plus credit, LHC@Home Classic says project down - this is also not true)

Anyway, next I used the "Teams" function and selected "Siciduradastra." pressed the change/add teams button, after the update it showed almost all as member of team.

When I go back to overview only 5 from 50 are listed as team member Sicituradastra.

I tried again but with only 10 projects, it was the same result on the overview page, these 10 were still shown as "Not a member of a team".

Just now I checked and almost all projects are now updated with the correct team name. Maybe a "please wait a little time for changes to take affect" message would be useful for others.

(climate prediction shows me member of team 8100 - I will wait to see if this is resolved into a name)

So now I go back to the main account page. I choose edit for the team name and it brings me to the Team page with the projects and team names shown.


I really have no idea what you are supposed to do at this point to get a team name in the main account page.


While this is not such a big issue, in my mind it takes unnecessary time to resolve.

Any suggestions?

WCG might be a trouble spot, it doesn't like to play well with many BAM functions. As for LHC, my bet is that the URL never got changed here at BAM.

I'm not sure why the "Team" field is blank on the Main account page; for me it shows me as "Founder of team" for my team, but on another account that I manage for a family member (who is a member of my team) their "Member of team" field is blank--even though they are shown as a member of my team for all projects.
