Too bad it's not compatible with the challenge stats here on BOINCstats.

But, I'm all for it, I have some systems attached to WCG, I'll up the resource share.

As team captain, I believe only you can sign us up for the 200M Result Challenge.

The I think I'm not the team captain although I am. Confused? So am I!

My username at WCG is '[BOINCstats] Willy', the team captain is 'BOINCstats Willy'. Something is missing and somehow I think it doesn't recognize me as captain...

Perhaps some "BOINCwide teams" feature - stripping off special characters from user name before "promoting" them to team captain?

BOINCstats was established at WCG long before even somebody thought about the BOINCwide team feature.

Remind him that if he wants to act as your team's captain he must sign in as "BOINCstats Willy" and not as "[BOINCstats] Willy"...

Just sign up, join Team BOINCstats and start crunching.

Since this challenge is for results, when you sign up for projects, don't select 'rice' . . . last I remember, the Rice project WU's run 8 hours on any machine.

Glad to have you onboard with TEAM BOINCstats!

Our results will probably start trickling in early tomorrow morning, the way I understand the WCG accounting system is that individual results update at midnight and noon [UTC], but team standings only get updated at midnight [UTC]. . . then it takes about 2 1/2 hours for them to get tabulated.

. . . we are in uncharted territory and will learn as we go.

I am going to hold off on this challenge for now as I am not even attached to WCG....but I promise to join in on the next one they hold that the team gets involved in ....let all the bugs get ironed out 1st ....... just give me the start date and the task type to crunch before the next one starts ..Thanks and Good Luck-JR

Granted, WCG used to be a stand alone project and just migrated over to BOINC in the last year or so.

. . . they still do some things a little differently.

Ok Sid thanks...succesfully attached 1 host....selected cancer project...task says 11hrs on a P4 2.8g....sound right? or is the estimate overinflated? Which project has the shortest tasks?

That sounds about right for your P4.

Here are my 'cancer' results on a P4, 3.2G.

With a P4 or less, sign up for 'rice'. . . they run 8 hours on any machine.
