Me been me likes to mark forums so that all messages are marked as read, if it possible to have this built into the BOINC forum at all?

Also is it possible to have a option with the forum settings so that I can auto subscribe to any post I make to watch for replies??

Not sure about the first option, but Janus from BURP is working on the second one. We should see that quite soon.

Those are two options I used a lot on the old forum too. The other big option I used a lot is the "View New Posts" link to list all threads in all forums with new posts.


In fact I've never been a fan of the BOINC forums and can only think of one feature in them that I like (the link to the BOINC profile).

as Janus is writing the new forum code, all suggestions should be made to him, over at BURP, he has a dedicated forum section for forum testing/suggestions

i agree with what others have said, and miss the "subscribe to forum" and "mark forum as read" features of the IPB package

also i'm rather disapointed that my subscriptions weren't saved/transfered to the boinc forum from the IPB package, i've got to go find all those threads again, and resubscribe

Already did that many weeks ago, but didnt hear anything, posted it here as Willy may be interested in putting the features in him self, as some of the stuff he has done already is deemed not important enough to be put into theforum code for other BOINC projects to use
