Hello i have noticed that the web site is no longer updateing my stats . it says 216?? however i have no done over 2,000 more stones and it has not updated why did it just stop???

It would be fine if you say in what project, there are several dozens.

Same goes here. I only run SETI and no updates to my stats for 2 days and now it looks like today will not update again! What's going on?

Whether it was really updated or had the old numbers I can't say, the bid daily update here is in a few minutes, let's see what will show. Seti has had problems several times, it's usually that end that makes the problem, not the stats sites. You should ask over there in the forum.

SETI says the problem is BOINCSTATS. They also report only 190K credits reported out of over 1 mil. Sounds like BOINCSTATS to me. Also they say it can be because BOINCSTATS is having problems with the new wu's that SETI has out in addition to the regular wu's.

That would be the Astropulse Application SETI just started. 3 days with no updates....c'mon BOINCSTATS!!!

So, who said that? Because I think (and I am 99.9% sure) that it is a SETI problem. Also your statement that BOINCstats has issues with a new type of WU is absolutely nonsense. BOINCstats doesn't care about the type of the WU, it cares about XML exports.

This thread on the SETI website states that other stats sites are affected as well. Nice to know that when BOINCstats has problems they mimic the problem to stay in sync with BOINCstats

Something else is wrong, and that's definitely here @BOINCstats: the sigs are not updating since 2 or 3 days. It's mentioned here in this thread.

So if you others are talking about the sigs and not the stats, you have it right, and it's not only Seti. For the stats it's probably Seti and not BOINCstats.

com mon seti fix the site i can't down new units now and the stats are still not updateing ....FIX THE DAM SITE BEFORE IT TOTALLY CRASHES

This site is not Seti, it's not in Berkeley, the problems are over there so please ask your questions over there.

On SETI my credit reads 40411.50 and on BOINCSTATS my credit reads 39450. Something has to be wrong somewhere. Any of several users had their stats updated Sunday as usual. My stats have not updated since 7/24. How about a solution instead of pointing fingers?! Can someone go in manually and get me updated on BOINCSTATS? A fix here is definitely needed!

Yes, I'm sorry. Let me make a phone call to the SETI admins and your credit will be peachy after that. We are very very sorry that our free service disrupted your credit experience in such a bad way.

In the mean time, please take the time to read the FAQ like Saenger suggested, you may learn a few things from it.

If you so desperately need a fix to this stats site, simply program one yourself.

SETI has found the problem....and by the way, not everyone is a programmer....duhhh!!!

so if the problem is at seti why the f***ing hell are my stats still not updateing not that there seems anybody around to fix it . Why don't you all have a few more cones and f*** all the users . Shit if you smoke enough you'll actually see the Aleins ...Bit less sarcam and a bit more work or at least a answer as to why for a freaking week the site will not update my stats

SETI did export new XML files (not that the last ones contained new information), but Murphy did his job well: as you can read in the news we are having major network problems and so far the server hasn't been able to download the SETI XML files without errors.
At this time the server is also updating the host stats so don't expect new SETI numbers (if the XML files contain them) before 11:00GMT.

if i look into the outcome of the latest export, SETi claims +3,268 new users and + 0 new hosts.

this whole things looks more and more like the big hoax of the millenium!

gladly this whole waste of power will soon have it's end when arecibo will be shut down and world-wide DC-power be used to make progress.

Hosts are not updated at the same time as users, teams and countries (the main update would take about 10 hours longer). So the number of hosts will change after the host update.

it's a political problem @ first hand - seti is the biggest project, but it is shlepping around loads of old hogs - they can't afford to grant credits according to crunched work in order not to piss off the ancient ones. on the other hand they want to get the credit hounds who tend to cruch projects where power pays off. those average credit-stats in project comparison do not reflect which hosts are involved, so seti will allways have a bad ratio.

it is a big show having a hundred of thousends ancient P4s crunching - and the biggests show in terms of energy waste.

anyway - i've been around BOINC for some time and around the community also to see whats going on.

those guys @SETi use every opportunity to promote their position - even manipulation of stats.

you do know that discussion about BOINC level 6 and its new "features" ?
