Hi all!
I'm running a Win7 64 bit machine with quad-core cpu and 3 GPU's in it.
I'm used to being able to run something like PrimeGrid on all three of the the GPU's and at the same time run some CPU-based project like simap or Edges or whatever. I'm sure that the CPU's must be doing some work to support the GPU's, but whatever the case is, everything is running at 100% utilization.
So now I'm running some DistrRTgen GPU tasks. I'm *only* running GPU tasks from DistrRTGen, and I'm trying to run some CPU task from something else (simap, edges, etc).
The behavior that I see is that although my three GPU's are running at almost 100%, my four CPU cores stay only about 50% to 75% loaded and Boinc Manager reports that I'm only crunching CPU tasks on two of the four cores.
DistrRTgen is the only project that seems to cause this.
Why is that? Is it possible for me to fully use all 3 gpu on this project *and* use all four cpu cores on another at the same time? Any suggestions for setting for me to examine?
Thanks all!
