We want to welcome all teams to this challenge. We are hoping to get a good showing to really push the servers and verify if they can hold up under heavy load. Travis has already approved the challenge and is also hopeful for a good showing. Please encourage all that you can to join in. If the challenge goes well, there is a strong possibility of being added to the DC-Vault.

grmbl, you will just have to get your team founder to sign you up here at BOINCStats. To the left you will see My BAM! menu. Second option from the bottom is Team founder. That is where your team founder can go to manage challenges.

Rebirther, how BOINCStats does the team founder is that the person who is the Team Founder on the most projects is designated as the Team Founder for all of them. My team has ran into this problem having more than one team name. So, depending on which project we have 2 potential team founders.

You can see your Team Founder by going to your team's profile page. http://boincstats.com/en/page/profiles

And I'm not seeing a profile page listed for you. I'm not sure if that is auto created or if someone needs to set it up. I never did it, so it may be a contact Willy sort of thing.

Yeah... looks like grmbl currently holds the team founder title. Perhaps counting up how many projects he is the Team Founder for and comparing that number to how many Rebirther is. Keep also in mind that if you are a member of multiple teams that you can only be Team Founder on one team. http://boincstats.com/en/page/profile/team/4ed46aae9cc2296fa68e7fd87c815c09/

After talking to Travis, he has upped the total work units per machine. Previously it was max 64. Now it should be 256. It is still limited to 4 per core/thread though. The limit bump was for those that have multi socket rigs with 64 cores/threads in them.

Multi-socket rigs with 64 cores...Won't want to pay their energy bill!
I hope for them they live in the southern hempishere, it is getting winter over there. Multi-socket rigs can assist in heating their home/laboratory...

And we all know that CPUs don't get hot.. At least not under a Noctua NH-D15 with added third fan. 8)

upped the total too late for a bunker though and didn't have time to try and fake the number of cores

It wouldn't be a complete stress test if the upload/download services weren't tested too

When I asked about upping the total work units per machine even further, the reply I got was that it may be problematic for DNA work. SubsetSum could handle it ok. DNA work requires parent work to finish in order to create the additional work. If this work is left in someones cache, it would delay things too much. So, we will most likely be left with these limits.

The problem I had was simply not enough in the cache for a comp rather than day to day. As the uploads was so slow I couldn't get any downloads ( too many transfers in progress ) and so I ran out of work and backup projects took over.
